Please join us for this exciting two-part event centered around the successful development of the swine industry in North Dakota! Part one is NDLA’s Livestock Spokesperson Training, where attendees will sharpen their animal ag and public meeting knowledge, in order to speak effectively in support of livestock projects in one-on-one and public speaking situations. Content will cover multiple livestock species including swine, dairy and beef.
Part two will consist of the swine development conference and trade show where attendees will learn from top professionals and network with swine owners interested in expanding their herds into North Dakota. Content will include manure value and application methods, swine finishing and sow raising hot topics, and more!

Dr. Bob Thaler is an Extension Swine Specialist and Distinguished Professor at SDSU. He grew up on a diversified farm in south central SD, and has been at SDSU since 1988. He works with future pork producers in the classroom, and works with current producers on the responsible growth of the swine industry in SD.
